43 Things that you don’t know about –

Giving is Good for Your Heart

A Note from a Friend

Hello, my friends,

We all know that giving helps others but it’s heart healthy. This isn’t just some “pie in the sky wishful thinking theory” there is science behind it.

Giving is Good for Your Heart

When you give sincerely, all the pain and suffering disappear.

Can I tell you something that someone once told me that changed my life? “the secret to living is giving” and those words have been engraved in my heart for years.

Research indicates that giving can positively impact your physical and mental health in numerous ways. Let’s try to find out what I have found.

At an early age, my mother instilled in my siblings and me, “God loves a cheerful giver,”  and since we are lucky enough to be successful that we should give back to the local communities where we reside.” Let us be the change that we want us to see in the world.

You can probably recite most heart-healthy habits: eat right, get plenty of sleep, don’t smoke, exercise, get moving, and give joyfully. Wait? Give joyfully? Huh? I am a taker, not a giver, I work hard for my money. Hold it right there, you need to read this and then ponder and reflect on this article. Give time and if you have money give it too. Research shows that giving back has a direct impact on our psychological and physical health. When we give it comes back to bless us and blesses us abundantly.

Here are four ways giving is good for your heart.
The importance of giving cannot be underestimated -

A report by the Cleveland Clinic.” There is evidence that, during gift giving, we secrete “ Feel Good “ chemicals in our brains, such as serotonin and dopamine, ( both are feel-good chemicals). These give you an immediate high, a “helper high” that warm fuzzy feeling of joy and fulfillment and the effects can go on for weeks.

I encourage you to join a civic organization or your favorite cause, place of worship or nonprofit organization and show that you support them and want good for them. You can make a difference. It was Vincent Van Gogh who said “Great things are done by a series of small steps done together.”

Do not go where the path may lead,
go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson.

A journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step. Take that step. Be the change that you want to see in the world and pay it forward. Perform random acts of Kindness.
