I am an avid entertainer and I love to cook.

To some cooking is a chore, but not at our house. I grew up in the kitchen. I grew up in a family of cooks. I have been cooking since I was 5 and I have a secret,” I have had my own test kitchen since I was 5.” watching my mother as well as my father turn things like mushrooms into magic. Iron skillets and a weber grill were my toys.

I also learned that when you cook you use everything. For example, when cooking a chicken my mom and grandmas used the neck, the liver, the gizzards. They had come from a generation that was not wasteful.

I’m passionate about teaching this generation of kids the art of cooking. I am the founder of “Cool Kids Cook” a faith-based non-profit organization that focuses on teaching kids “hands-on” healthy cooking.

I believe that food is the common denominator that brings all nationalities together. Food is fun!

My first real paying job was flipping burgers at a Hardee’s the age of 15. I believe it’s okay for every kid to flip burgers.

I then opened my first restaurant and had a food truck when I was 18 years old. I can say it was due to the passion I had for a great steamed kosher corned beef deli sandwich and a Sabrett natural casing frankfurter with mustard and kraut. At the age of 23 I had 3 deli’s.

I am an enthusiastic entertainer. I love to throw a party and love to cook anything and everything.

I am a Professional Horticulturist put me in a garden and you’ll see I know my way around a garden as well as I do the kitchen.

I am not scared to speak in public and I am a toastmaster.

I have been a Kiwanian since 2007 and in case you don’t know what this means, Kiwanians are volunteers changing the world through service to children and communities. Kiwanis members help shelter the homeless, feed the hungry, mentor the disadvantaged, and care for the sick. They develop youth as leaders, build playgrounds, raise funds for pediatric research, and much more.

When I speak, I try to only say positive words as our words have an electronic energy charge. Negative words, have a negative charge and positive words, have a positive charge and eventually, they will make a complete circuit just like a wireless radio or phone. I promise your words will always come back to you whether used positively or negatively.

I believe to be kind to everyone because: “What comes around goes around”.

Everything and everyone I come in touch with becomes prosperous and leaves me with a great feeling.

Self-discipline and the way you think is the No.1 trait we must have in order to be successful. Whether you think you can or cannot you are probably right.

I am a giver, not a taker and I have been a firm supporter of giving back to the community in which I live.

In my senior year of High school I was voted class clown and class partier. So, with that being said I have a couple of jokes for you:
1. Do you know why chicken coops only have two doors?
Because if they had four doors it would be a sedan not a coop!

I am addicted to Roller Coasters, which you could say is my inner child and my addictive personality…

I love to ski. I learned how to in Zermatt, Switzerland. It’s one of my favorite sports, as it frees my mind and body when I’m skiing down such beautiful white slopes.

I’m a firm believer that God loves us all the same. He loves Joel Osteen and Charlie Sheen as much as he does a janitor, a gardener or even those standing in street corners.

I was a Cub Scout and belonged to the Boy Scout’s Troop 135 in Brookfield, Connecticut. So you can say I’m very much disciplined and I am always prepared.

I’ve had bad moments and ups and downs in my life like everybody else, so yes, I have failed more times than I have succeeded. No one said life was going to be easy.

I used to party like a rock –star! But now I don’t drink and have not had a drink or a mind altering substance in over seven years.

Growing up I’ve had three favorite cars a 1970 Mercury Cougar convertible that I bought in high school for a thousand dollars, that I had to borrow from sister Sheri. Thank you sis. I will always remember your kindness. I love you.

The way I go forward through a challenge is using Oprah Winfrey’s rule that instructs you to do the next thing if you have a problem that seems to be overwhelming. I make the next right move one time after another. I believe that being overwhelmed takes your peace away, so I just keep on doing the next best thing, because I know that this too shall pass.

I believe that we are always one decision away from a completely different life. Either positive or negative.

I believe that we should all use Mise en place (MEEZ ahn plahs) is a French term for having all your ingredients measured, cut, peeled, sliced, grated, etc. before you start cooking, in other words, to have everything in place. Pans as well as mixing bowls, tools and equipment should be set out and prepared. It is a chef’s technique to assemble meals fast and effortlessly.

The infamous Zig Ziglar was my friend. He’s one of the world’s most popular and motivational speakers. His real name was Hilary Hinton Ziglar, but the man came to be known as Zig Ziglar as his alias which originated from his pet name in elementary school during the 1930s in Mississippi

I believe that it is easier to succeed than to fail when you put your heart and mind into it.

I don’t believe in luck at all since I have never been lucky. Luck is something random. When you’re always prepared for opportunity positively, an opportunity just happens.
